Master of Nursing Practice (MNP)
This 60 credit Master in Nurse Practice is open to the RN with an active nursing license with a baccelaureate degree. The MNP prepares the graduate for a career as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Licensed Professional Counselor. The curriculum meets the criteria of the ANCC for FPMH-NP certification and the NBCC criteria for licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC).
Nurse practitioners provide physician supervised medical care and medication management. Licensed professional counselors provide primary psychotherapy and counseling to patients as an independently licensed provider.
